What’s been happening:

One of my proudest moments as a school principal was in the Avella Area School District in Washington County, Pa. in 2005. My school (Avella Elementary) had the highest PSSA scores in the whole county!! Our scores were ahead of the much wealthier Peters Township School District and we finished as having the 3rd highest PSSA scores in Intermediate Unit 1 in Pennsylvania for 2005.
